Once a year Bethesda Magazine, a prominent regional magazine, allows their readers to nominate and vote for the “Best…” of that year in a variety of categories. X3O is honored to have been voted the “Best place for kids’ parties” in 2007. You can check out the entire “Best Of…” series in the January/February 2008 issue of Bethesda Magazine.
Directly quoted from the Bethesda Magazine: January/February 2008 Issue, Page 84:
“Today’s tech-savvy kids prefer computer games to magicians and balloons. That’s where X3O Gaming Center (11640 Rockville Pike, Rockville, 301-816-9055, www.x3o-gaming.com) comes into play. The two-year-old establishment offers all-inclusive packages that include 2 1/2 hours of game time on the PCs or Xbox 360s linked to 50-inch HDTVs, access to more then 100 video games, pizza, drinks and a dedicated staff member who provides advice and instruction to help party-goers get the most out of their gaming experience.
The age range for parties is typically 7 to 14, although X3O has hosted parties for 5- and 6- year-olds. For a party of 10 to 15 kids, the cost ranges from $250 to $325.
‘A lot of our birthday parties are referrals because the kids have such a great time when they’re here,’ says Nick Fitzsimmons, Manager of Marketing. Fitzsimmons says X3O has the quietest parties around because ‘the kids are concentrating and not running around.’”
